Dr. Felix Williams, III

Pastor, Leader, Friend and Servant!

Dr. Felix G. Williams III, is a native of Lexington, Kentucky is the son of Felix G. Williams and the late Geraldine Williams. He is one of three children born to this union. He is married to the former Nizida Gray and is the father of 3 children: 2 daughters, Marseya Williams and Sha’Ron Williams and one son, Jordan Felix-Louis Williams.

Dr. Williams was raised in the Church by religious parents. As a result of being reared by strong Christian parents, Dr. Williams responded to the call to the ministry in 1969. He was licensed to preach and ordained by the Main Street Baptist Church, under the auspices of the late Rev. Dr. Reggie H. Johnson. After serving as the Associate Minister at the Main Street Baptist , Dr. Williams served as Assistant Pastor, 23rd & Broadway Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky; Mission Pastor, Tower Grove Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri and pastor of Emmaus Baptist Church, St. Louis, Mo.

In 1980, Dr. Williams became the pastor of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. and has remained dedicated to Church growth in the southeast rural area of Lexington. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Williams, a committed pastor, has led this small, rural congregation in numerical growth from 43 members to an active membership over 300. Construction plans for a new House of Worship are in development phase.
 

An Advocate for Education

Educationally, Dr. Williams is a 1973 graduate of Morehead State University, Morehead, Ky., with a B.A. degree. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky., a Doctor Of Ministry degree, United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Oh., The Reverend Dr. Williams was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree, Simmons Bible University, Louisville, Ky. Dr. Williams is a active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

A Leader In Ministry

As a proven leader in the Church and Community, Dr. Williams has served as Moderator of the Consolidated Baptist District Association, Lexington, Ky., Dean, BUCLC, General Association of Baptist in Kentucky, Chairman, Kentucky State Mission Board; Secretary, Congress of Christian Education, Progressive National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Dr. Williams currently serves as Assistant Dean, Consolidated Baptist District Sunday School and BTU Convention and 1st Vice President, Congress of Christian Education, Progressive National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

​

Dr. Williams is affiliated with the Progressive National Baptist Convention, General Association of Baptists in Kentucky, and Consolidated Baptist District Association.

​

Dr. Williams is a widely utilized preacher/teacher for revivals and conferences across the length and breadth of the state, nation and abroad.

​

Dr. Williams is currently concentrating on the construction of a New Worship Facility.
